One of the "root causes" of workplace injuries, illnesses, and incidents is the failure to identify or recognize hazards that are present or could have been anticipated. A critical element of any effective safety and health program is a proactive, ongoing process to identify and assess such hazards.
During non-routine operations and foreseeable emergencies, the next safety step is hazard control to protect workers. However, in the event of unavoidable hazard incident, emergency remedy should come in place as soon as possible to control the situation.
Such remedies can be done better with proper training and an ERP team planned in advance.
