2) Habit 3 - Put First Things First Presented by Stephen Covey

Habit 3: Put First Things First is about time management. The Time Matrix provides a model for identifying and prioritizing tasks based on urgency and importance. The Time Matrix consists of 4 Quadrants.

Quadrant I - mainly managing crises and problems, it keeps getting bigger and bigger until it consumes us. This leads to stress, burnout, and constantly putting out fires.

Quadrant III - reacting to matters that seem urgent, when the reality is their perceived urgency is based on the priorities and expectations of others. This leads to short-term focus, feeling out of control, and shallow or broken relationships.

Quadrant IV - basically leading an irresponsible life. This often leads to getting fired from jobs and being highly dependent on others.

Quadrant II - is at the heart of effective personal management. It deals with activities like building relationships, long-term planning, exercising, preparation, prevention and should be focus most.

In order to focus our time in Quadrant II, we have to learn how to say "NO" to other activities, sometimes ones that seem urgent. We need to be able to delegate effectively.

3) Habit 3 - Weekly Planning presented by Stephen Covey

In this video you will see Stephen Covey sharing how to stay focus day to day without losing sight of the big picture. The power of Put First Things First every week gives you the most manageable perspective. Plan your week, each week, before the week begin. The 3 step process :

1) Review mission and roles - by organising your life around your roles will help you maintain balance and focus.

2) Choose big rocks - these are weekly Quadrant II goals for each of your roles. Select those "big rocks" are the most important things you can accomplish, that will have the most greatest impact on your mission and goal.

3) Schedule the week - what one thing you absolutely know that will have a significant positive impact.

With the right process and the right tools for weekly planning, you can organise an attitude every week of your life around your deepest Quadrant II priorities.

4) Goals Video by Steven Covey

Stephen Covey sharing about the important of Goals setting. Goals will not be executed until everyone crystal clear and understand what the goal is and what they themselves specifically need to do to meet that goal. Once people are clear what the goal is, then only are they free to do new and better ways to reach that goal.
