Stephen Covey's Biography - The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People 

Introduction the life, philosophy and achivements of Stephen Covey. The book "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" which sold 25 million copies worldwide help to inspire many people to lead a healthy and successful life.

 

1. Roots of Effectiveness - (Background Intro)

Stephen Covey shared how successful people who live by the character ethic have strong roots, deep roots. They withstand the stresses of life and they keep growing and progressing. The 7 Habits is about developing from the INSIDE OUT instead of from the outside in. As we cultivate the roots, we will begin to see the fruits, others will trust us, our influence will grow and the results will be enduring.

 

2. The 7 Habits : Maturity Continuum presented by Stephen Covey

There are 3 levels :

[1st level - Dependence] : You depend / blame on others to get what you want - Attitude of "You".

[2nd Level - Independence] : You get what you want through your own effort - Attitude of "I", self-reliance and take responsible.

[3rd level - Interdependence] : Cooperate together to accomplish what we want - Attitude of "We", we can cooperate, be a team player, combine our talents, abilities, best efforts to achieve highest success. 

 

3) The 7 Habits Overview - Presented by Stephen Covey

The 7 Habits are designed to build from the foundation up, an inside-out approach to establish a mindset, habits, and skills that help to identify and achieve the things that are most important to you. Habits 1-3 develop independence through “Private Victory" which focus on internal growth and personal character. Habits 4-6 build on independence to develop interdependence through collaboration, cooperation, and communication. These are “Public Victory” that improve your interactions with others. Habit 7 teaches you to renew and deepen your habits to continuously improve.
