The Minister of Human Resources YB Datuk Seri M Saravanan has announced that the implementation of the amended Employment Act 1955 has been deferred from 1st September 2022 to 1st January 2023.

The deferment was made to provide more time for the employers as many are still in the economic recovery phase due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
